I began my yoga journey more than ten years ago when I happened in on a college yoga class. Struggling with lifelong anxiety, yoga became my healing balm; providing me solace, helping me connect to reserves of strength and offering a compassionate framework from which to engage the world. The more I practiced yoga, the more I wanted to learn and share the practice with others.
I became a certified yoga instructor at the 200 HR level through the Dallas Yoga Center six years ago. I was instructed in the Iyengar method, but also incorporate elements of vinyasa and hatha yoga, guided meditation and restorative poses into my practice. I customize my sessions to be responsive to my students' needs.
I teach a weekly yoga class every Wednesday at Trophy Fitness Club in Las Colinas, have lead semester long yoga classes at University of Dallas in Irving, and provide group and individual sessions at a private yoga studio in Dallas. I recently taught at the The Holistic Festival of Life in Plano and have also led goat yoga classes for local charities in the DFW area. I am open to offering corporate yoga sessions at your place of business.
“Nina is such a kind and compassionate teacher. I love taking classes with her. You can tell how passionate she is about yoga and it motivates you to keep practicing.”
"She is extremely welcoming and goes the extra mile caring for her student throughout the session, making sure they are comfortable with each posture. I was thoroughly impressed and appreciative of her talents."
